When looking at traffic to my sites a couple months ago, I realized that Pinterest is now driving the most traffic to my work. With that in mind, I needed to develop a plan to continue to build up my following on Pinterest. My goal is to increase my followers on Pinterest by 100 people a week. I've hit that goal most weeks, when I have time to actually do my daily plan.
Here's my daily Pinterest Routine
1. Find People Sharing Your Art
The first thing I do everyday is search for people sharing my art on Pinterest. The most important thing is to connect with people that already like your art. They are the most likely to follow you back, like your posts and share more of your work. Here's what I do.
Step 1 Search Your Name
Step 2 If Anyone Has Shared Your Art Like and Comment
2. Follower Similar Accounts Followers
One of the best ways to get followers is to follow people following accounts that are similar to you. This is one of the best ways for people to discover your work. If they already like people similar to you they will probably be fairly likely to follow you to.
Simply find an account similar to you>click on their followers>follow 100-200 of their followers
Note, focus on their followers, not who they are following. Also, please note that you don't want your following/followers ratio to be too out of wack so make sure to unfollow people weekly as well.
3. Post 10-20 Quality Posts Every Night
Step 1 Signup for a Pin Scheduling Tool
I use Tailwind App and love it. This tool allows you to schedule and reschedule posts. It will help you save time, maximize your reach and ultimately grow your followers and reach.
